Teachers need to have a good command of this new world and its language in order to engage and motivate children. ICT should be integrated in a whole teaching project.Teachers can share their ideas and experiences with other teachers, find solutions, share exercises… and so the children feel much more integrated and involved at school. children can benefit from the use of ICTs in:
Developing listening skills:There are lots of multimedia materials that can help students get used to listening to English (films, conversations, videos, songs …)
Children can also create their own materials with programs such as Paint, creative writer and so they can submit their own work.
Communicating with others :
We can communicate with each other via: emails or blogs.
In addition to the use of ICT there are a lot of ready-made materials we can use for primary education. For example, interactive whiteboards (IWB), DVD, CDs, educational websites. There are many materials in the software for online teaching as the following programs: Hot Potatoes, Clic, Neobook, textoys.
The variety of tools for learning English in primary school are so many that the problem is finding the most appropriate for each moment.
But without doubt, thanks to them, students feel more autonomy, motivation and pride in their work, helping each other when the activity requires.

Hi Inmaculada,
ResponderEliminarI think your blog is very helpful because you show some tools we can use in English classes, for example: the song, the cards, etc.
I haven´t experience teaching English in Primary School neither, but I hope soon we are able to do it.
You say something very important about to use the most appropiate tool for learning English for each moment. And I think we have to think in students too. As future teachers, we have to think in the characteristics and skills of the students too.
Kind Regards.
